Week fourteen of Masters of the Universe: Tales from Eternia, and in ‘Fisto Needs a Friend’, the titular character requires some assistance from He-Man and Teela. Spikor is being a prickly pain in the posterior, attempting to steal webbing from Arachna (Queen of the spiders), and Fisto needs help seeing him off.
But as He-Man and Teela arrive, Spikor also calls in a friend for back-up. Cue the arrival of Beast Man, who uses his mind control powers to influence Arachna.
With some great action scenes as well as a couple of fun moments, ‘Fisto Needs a Friend’ is a likeable episode of Tales from Eternia. It’s not the strongest offering, nor does it feature a particularly big moral like some past episodes (other than the obvious power of friendship angle), but it is a delight to watch with slick animation and character designs.
Sometimes episodes just need to focus on a workable story, and that’s what you get here. Plus, the inclusion of Fisto and Spikor continues to expand the roster of characters in Tales from Eternia and this is never a bad thing.
