Following the success of Hallmark’s mystery movie, Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel has announced a sequel for 2023. The movie – which will make its debut in February – will reunite lead stars Nikki DeLoach and Andrew Walker, and will be called Curious Caterer: Grilling Season.
The official blurb for the new movie (via Hallmark) reads as follows: “Professional caterer Goldy Berry (DeLoach) throws a lavish barbeque event for her childhood friend, acclaimed realtor Susie Craig (Amanda May). Later that night, she is shocked to discover that after the event concluded, Susie’s grill exploded and killed her.
“Goldy’s professional reputation is put under fire when people realize that she was the last one that used the grill. On a mission to clear her name, Goldy teams up once again with detective Tom Schultz (Walker) to figure out who was behind this mysterious explosion.
“As they weed through manipulative party guests, heated gossip, and dark secrets, the suspect list grows with familiar names, ranging from business partners to ex-spouses. Goldy and Tom realise that the murderer might be closer to them than they initially imagined.”
Based on the Goldy Schulz books by Diane Mott Davidson, Curious Caterer: Grilling Season is produced by Grilling Season Productions Inc. Simon Richardson is the producer, while Ben Silverman, Alexandre Coscas, Michael R. Goldstein, and Aidan Heatley are on board as executive producers.
John Christian Plummer wrote the script for Grilling Season, while Paul Ziller is on directing duties. Ziller is no stranger to Hallmark movies, having previously directed Ruby Herring Mysteries: Silent Witness.
As for the film’s lead stars DeLoach and Walker, they’re no strangers to Hallmark either. DeLoach has previously starred in Two Turtle Doves, Sweet Autumn, and The Gift of Peace, while Walker appeared in A Dream of Christmas, Three Wise Men and a Baby, and Love on Ice.

I love Andrew walker he is great. He’s a favorite. Please add a different actress to be with him. Nikki De loach looks a little older and the series would be better with someone else, don’t like her acting, she is too pushy and acts like she always wants to be # 1.

Looked up the curious caterer grilling season on the hallmark app and it said it couldn’t find that episode.
