Making its way onto Hallmark Movies & Mysteries in the not-too-distant future is an all-new mystery drama called Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate. The movie stars Nikki DeLoach and Andrew Walker, and follows the story of a Colorado caterer called Goldy, who joins forces with a detective to solve a murder case.
The official blurb for Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate (via Hallmark) reads as follows: “Goldy (DeLoach) is a spirited single mom who’s thrust into the role of town sleuth to help solve a friend’s mysterious death. With the clock ticking to find the culprit, Goldy strikes up an unlikely partnership with Detective Tom Schultz (Walker), who leans into Goldy’s local knowledge.
“As their relationship shows signs of becoming something more, the suspect list rises. Will Goldy narrow in on the killer before the killer narrows in on her?”
Curious Caterer lead stars Niki DeLoach and Andrew Walker will be familiar to Hallmark fans, as both actors have appeared in a string of Hallmark productions prior to joining this brand-new mystery. DeLoach has starred in films such as Christmas Land (2015) and Truly, Madly, Sweetly (2018), while Walker has appeared in movies including Merry & Bright (2019) and Christmas on My Mind (2019).
The actors have also appeared together in three romantic Hallmark movies including A Dream of Christmas (2016), The Perfect Catch (2017) and Sweet Autumn (2020). Meanwhile, outside of Hallmark, DeLoach has guest starred in hit shows such as Without a Trace, Mad Men, and Criminal Minds, while Walker has appeared in ER, and CSI: Miami.
Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate is written by Erinne Dobson and John Christian Plummer, and is directed by Anthony C. Metchie. The movie’s supporting cast includes Erin Boyes, Antonio Cayonne, Jaycie Dotin, and Jason Tremblay.
