Hallmark has revealed some details about the latest romantic drama heading to Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The film is called Always Amore, and it will make its debut in April.
Always Amore stars Autumn Reeser, Tyler Hynes, Patty McCormack, and Lisa Marie DiGiacinto. The movie follows the story of a widowed restaurateur called Elizabeth, who finds love while trying to keep her business out of the red.
The official blurb for Always Amore (via Hallmark) reads as follows: “Elizabeth (Reeser) is working hard to keep her late husband Marco’s Italian restaurant, Il Cibo È Vita, afloat with the support of her mother-in-law Nonna (McCormack) and devoted staff. She’s holding on to the recipes and styles established by Marco to honour his memory, but business continues to go downhill.
“Elizabeth is forced to work with Ben (Hynes), a “restaurant fixer” who has many new ideas to save money, enhance the décor and change the menu. At first, Elizabeth resists change, but slowly begins to open herself to new ideas while teaching Ben about what makes Il Cibo È Vita so special.
“They seize the opportunity to enter their head chef into a cooking competition to revitalize interest in Il Cibo È Vita. All the while, Elizabeth rediscovers her passion for baking and might even open her heart to new love.”
Fans of Hallmark movies will be more than familiar with Always Amore’s lead star Autumn Reeser, as the actress recently appeared in the popular collection of movies known as The Wedding Veil trilogy. Reeser has also starred in such favourites as A Bramble House Christmas (2017), All Summer Long (2019) and Love on the Menu (2019), so is sure to delight audiences with this latest picture.
Her co-star Tyler Hynes is also no stranger to Hallmark audiences, having recently starred in Roadhouse Romance (2021) and Sweet Carolina (2021). Hynes also featured in It Was Always You (2021) and One the 12th Date of Christmas (2020).
Giada De Laurentiis, Anne Fox, Dan Fox, Danielle Jackson, Allen Lewis, Bianca Versteeg, Orly Adelson and Harvey Kahn are executive producers on Always Amore, while Charles Cooper is a producer. The new movie is being made for Hallmark by Gastronomy Road Productions Ltd.
Always Amore is written by Julie Sherman Wolfe, and is directed by Kevin Fair. Fair previously directed 2021’s Our Christmas Journey for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
