‘A More Perfect Orko’ – Masters of the Universe: Tales from Eternia reviewed

In episode seven of Masters of the Universe: Tales from Eternia, ‘A More Perfect Orko‘, Eternia’s resident Trollan magician Orko is keen to improve his magic skills. Following a bungled attempt to stop an attack on the Palace, Orko realises something really must be done about his current ability to wield spells.

After consulting a spell book for advice, the pint-sized hero realises he needs a special crystal to help him out. Only problem is, he’ll need to take a trip to snake mountain to get it.

For this latest episode of Masters of the Universe: Tales from Eternia, Orko is given centre stage, which is always a wise move. Not only is he a fun, colourful character, but any opportunity to see Orko using his magic is always a great opportunity to be had!

And it’s not just Orko who appears in this four-minute ‘toon. ‘A More Perfect Orko‘ also serves up Trap Jaw, Beast Man, Evil-Lyn, He-Man, Battle Cat, Teela, and the Sorceress.

There’s no Skeletor sadly, he’s taking a week off, but hey, there’s more than enough heroes and villains to keep the entertainment level high. Plus there’s plenty of action as usual.

However, the main selling point of this seventh episode is for old school fans. With this being an Orko episode we get a moral message (delivered by the Sorceress) about Orko being himself, and we get a group chuckle at the end.

‘A More Perfect Orko‘ is another enjoyable episode of Tales from Eternia. It’s not quite as strong as the previous six, but it’s really difficult to knock this show as it’s just so damn good and easy to watch!

Tales from Eternia is a really weekly highlight. It may only last four minutes, but the show provides a great bite-sized break from reality – and couldn’t we all do with one of those?
