Frozen II has crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.
The movie – a sequel to 2013’s Frozen – has taken $1,032,542,072 since it opened in late November.
This figure* breaks down as follows:
- $366,542,072 at the North American box office
- $666,000,000 at the international box office

Frozen II is now the sixth Disney movie of 2019 to join the billion dollar club – the eighth movie overall to cross $1 billion this year.
The six Disney movies of 2019 to pass $1 billion include:
- Avengers: Endgame
- The Lion King
- Captain Marvel
- Toy Story 4
- Frozen II
But will this list remain at six?
Unlikely. Star Wars: Rise of the Jedi arrives in cinemas later this week and it is sure to do big business for Disney.
What’s perhaps most interesting about Frozen II‘s box office success is that (as mentioned above) eight films have made over $1 billion this year. And in a year which has seen some big box office failures (Terminator: Dark Fate, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Doctor Sleep etc), it just goes to show money is still being spent at the cinema – however, it is being spent in one particular direction.
