The Hunger Games (2012)
As noted above, the first entry in The Hunger Games movie series hit cinemas screens in 2012. The film followed Katniss Everdeen – a young woman from District 12.
In the movie, the nation is divided into twelve districts. As punishment for a failed rebellion, each district must select one girl and one boy to take part in the titular Hunger Games – a televised fight to the death where only one person survives.
After Katniss’ sister is selected for the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss volunteers to take her place. Joined by her fellow district tribute, Peeta Mellark, Katniss enters the games in the fight for her life. (142 mins)
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)
Following the success of The Hunger Games, a sequel followed in 2013 under the title, Catching Fire. In this instalment, Katniss and Peeta find themselves becoming a target, following their victory in the Hunger Games. (146 mins)
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014)
With Catching Fire also proving popular, The Hunger Games movie series continued, via two further instalments, which were shot back-to-back. The first of these films was titled Mockingjay – Part 1.
In this movie, Katniss joins forces with Alma Coin, the leader of District 13. Together the pair embark on a mass rebellion against the Capitol. (123 mins)
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (2015)
Continuing the story in Mockingjay – Part 2, Katniss leads a team of rebels into the heart of the Capitol. Her aim is liberation against the leadership of the tyrannical Coriolanus Snow. (137 mins)
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (2023)
Following the release of Mockingjay – Part 2, The Hunger Games movie series went on hiatus for eight years. When the series returned, the clock was rewound to focus on an early tale which would act as a prequel to the original films.
In this film, titled The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Coriolanus Snow is called upon to mentor Lucy Gray Baird – a Hunger Games tribute. (157 mins)
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (2026)
With The Ballad of Songbirds proving to be a box office success, The Hunger Games movie series rolled on with a sixth film, titled Sunrise on the Reaping. Set after the events of The Ballad of Songbirds, the film focused on Haymitch Abernathy as he is selected to compete in the 50th Hunger Games.

I just watched all these recently. Have to say I didn’t enjoy them as much as the books, but the movies were still pretty good.
