In 1980, Japanese sci-fi film, Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur, arrived in cinemas. The film, based on the popular Doraemon Manga series, offered lots of animated adventure, alongside a story about dinosaurs and time travel.

Due to the popularity of Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur many, many, many more Doraemon movies quickly followed. These movies popped up on an annual basis, building up a significant collection of Doraemon films in the process.
