The original Teen Titans are making a comeback!
According to io9, the Teen Titans from the early ’00s cartoon will crossover with the Teen Titans from the recent Teen Titans GO! cartoon for a forthcoming project. No word on what that project will be exactly (possibly a direct-to-DVD adventure), but it’s happening!
Ten years before Teen Titans GO! first started airing on Cartoon Network, another cartoon, simply titled Teen Titans regularly appeared on the station. Running from 2003 until 2006, Teen Titans ran for five seasons (comprising 65 episodes) & one movie.
When the original Teen Titans was cancelled fans were less than pleased as the show had quite a following. However, a post-credit scene in the recent animated film, Teen Titans GO! to the Movies suggested that the original Titans could be making a comeback in the not too distant future.
Pretty exciting news, right?
Both the original cartoon and Teen Titans GO! share the same core voice cast, so this crossover is pretty much a no-brainer. And, if it’s a success, then maybe we could see the original Titans show get a revival.
