The release of Wonder Woman 1984 has been delayed.
The movie – a sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman – was originally set to make its debut in November 2019. The film has now been rescheduled for release during June 2020.
Wonder Woman 1984 star, Gal Gadot broke the news via Twitter. She said: “Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!!!”
The suggestion is that the movie is being moved so it can make its debut during the blockbuster season. The original Wonder Woman hit theatres during summer 2017 and was very successful, so moving the sequel to a similar release could allow it to follow suit.
It looks like we’ll be waiting a little longer to see footage of this new movie.
