If you, like me, have been wondering when we will see The Conjuring 3, then you might be pleased to know there are current rumblings of its (soonish) arrival.
In a recent interview with Cinemablend, producer Peter Safran had the following to say about The Conjuring 3.
“It’s actually coming along great. (Scriptwriter) David Lindsay Johnson is working on the screenplay, and I feel pretty confident they will have that one up and running next year.”
So, that means as long as everything goes to plan, The Conjuring 3 will enter production next year, ahead of a 2020 release – most likely the summer (the traditional release date for these films).
Yeah, I know 2020 is still two years away, but don’t forget, next year sees the arrival of the as-yet-untitled third Annabelle movie, which is the sixth entry in The Conjuring Universe. That film should tide us all over until The Conjuring 3 makes its debut.
Presumably, in the not too distant future we should also get further news on the oft-talked about Crooked Man movie – a spin-off from The Conjuring 2 (2016) – as well as a possible sequel to The Nun. Nothing much has been said about a Nun follow-up, but as the film has done so well at the box office this past weekend, a sequel is pretty much a surefire thing, right?
