Great Scott! VHS is back!
Well… sort of.
HMV is releasing a range of Blu-rays housed within limited edition VHS packaging. The VHS range includes classic VHS-style outer cases, a Blu-ray & DVD copy of a film, a fold out poster, a bubblegum car and a sticker!

Twevle titles will be included within the retro set – presumably more will follow if this idea proves popular.
The titles include: Back to the Future, E.T. – The Extra-Terrestrial, 48 HRS, Airplane, Scarface, The Blues Brothers, Beverly Hills Cop, The Breakfast Club, The Thing, Top Gun, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Warriors. Each is priced at £14.99 or two for £25.
HMV‘s VHS range is available from July 30th.
What do you think?
Over the last few years there’s been a surge in interest in VHS – specifically bootleg copies of modern movies – so this kind of taps into that market. But will it last or is this just a quick gimmick?
Thoughts in the comments section please.

Just as I had started to think about thinning out our collection they are back. I will never get my other half to part with any now.
