What is the order of the Morning Show Mysteries movies?

In 2018, Hallmark aired the first in a series of ‘Signature Mystery Movies’ under the banner heading Morning Show Mysteries. The film – Morning Show Mysteries: Mortal Mishaps – hit screens on January 21st 2018, and centred around a TV chef and a homicide detective, who become mixed up in a murder investigation.

In the film Holly Robinson Peete took on the role of Billie Blessings – a beloved chef and restaurant owner, who also hosts a segment on morning television. During the course of the movie, Billie becomes the prime suspect in a murder case, when one of the TV executives at the network dies from poisoning.

Keen to clear her name, Billie begins her own investigation, with some help from detective Ian Jackson, as played by Rick Fox. However, Billie’s sleuthing potentially incriminates those closest to her while at the same time puts her own life in danger.

Upon making its debut, Morning Show Mysteries: Mortal Mishaps was a big hit with viewers and was quickly followed up with a sequel titled Morning Show Mysteries: Murder on the Menu. Once again, this film was successful and this convinced Hallmark to continue the series.

In movie no. 2, Murder on the Menu, when a body is found in the trunk of a guest chef’s rental car, Billie Blessings once again becomes a key player in a murder mystery. But as Billie attempts to get to the bottom of this case, and uncover the identity of the killer, she must be careful not to compromise the investigation led by Ian Jackson – the cop with whom she has history.
