The Devil Wears Prada 2 UK age rating

In the UK, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has been awarded a ‘12A’ certificate by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). The film has received this rating due to “infrequent strong language”.

In the UK ‘12A’ certificate movies are deemed best suited for audiences aged 12 or above. However, children below the age of 12 can watch a ’12A’ in a UK cinema, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or adult guardian, so technically anyone can watch the movie.

Based on this rating, the BBFC believe The Devil Wears Prada 2 is most suited to audiences aged over 12, which means it is fine for teenagers (i.e. 13 onwards).

It’s worth noting, the original Devil Wears Prada was given a ‘PG’ certificate in the UK back in 2006, meaning the BBFC believe this 2026 sequel is either aimed slightly older this time around, or it fits into slightly different criteria for the purposes of certification. However, it’s only a slight certificate increase for this sequel, and it makes no difference as to whether it is suitable for a teen.

In the US, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has been rated ‘PG-13’ by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPA). The Devil Wears Prada 2 has received this rating for strong language and some suggestive references.

In the US, ‘PG-13’ rated movies mean that some material may not be suitable for children under the age of 13. The MPA suggests parents are urged to be cautious.

However, based on the rating, the MPA believe The Devil Wears Prada 2 is suitable for teens.

It’s also worth noting, the original Devil Wears Prada was also given a ‘PG-13’ rating back in 2006. So, if you want to be sure of the sequel’s suitability, it might be worth taking a look at the original before your teen heads off to watch the new one.
