In 1990, Charlaine Harris (author of The Southern Vampire novels), published the murder mystery novel, Real Murders. The book was the first in a collection of novels featuring librarian turned super-sleuth, Aurora Teagarden.

As the book series developed, Harris continued to publish Aurora Teagarden stories throughout the ‘90s, into the ‘00s, and then into the ‘10s. To date, there are 10 books in the series:

  • Real Murders (1990)
  • A Bone to Pick (1992)
  • Three Bedrooms, One Corpse (1994)
  • The Julius House (1995)
  • Dead Over Heels (1996)
  • A Fool and his Honey (1999)
  • Last Scene Alive (2002)
  • Poppy Done to Death (2003)
  • All the Little Liars (2016)
  • Sleep Like a Baby (2017)

The popularity of the books didn’t go unnoticed and in 2015, the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel adapted the novels into a couple of television movies: A Bone to Pick and Real Murders. The movies proved very popular with Hallmark viewers, and this kick-started a very long, very successful run of films, initially starring Candace Cameron Bure and then starring Skylar Samuels.

In this post I am going to take a look at the Aurora Teagarden film series, to provide the running order of all the films. So, if you’re not sure if Dead Over Heels comes before A Very Foul Play, or you don’t know where Last Scene Alive falls in the movie collection, this post is for you.
