When Sonic the Hedgehog hit the big screen in 2020, movie audiences enjoyed the film’s mix of action and comedy, as well as its fun take on Sonic, and this ensured it was a box-office success. So, it was no surprise to anyone that following the popularity of the original, a sequel was quickly green lit, paving the way for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 to super-speed its way into cinemas in 2022.
Following in its predecessor’s footsteps, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was an enjoyable romp, which saw Sonic battle his old nemesis, Dr. Robotnik once again. Only this time around, Sonic was joined by new pals, Tails and (eventually) Knuckles, to make this sequel an even bigger adventure than the first!
