Jim Carrey has been cast in the Sonic movie – can you guess who he’s playing?

Comedic actor, Jim Carrey has been cast in the forthcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie – but can you guess who he’s playing?

Well, it’s not the title role if that’s what you are thinking – but it is a very prominent one!

Carrey will be playing Sonic’s chief adversary, Doctor Robotnik (aka Doctor Eggman).

According to Deadline, Carrey is currently in negotiations to appear in the movie, which will mix live-action with CGI. If all goes according to plan, Carrey will join James Marsden and Tika Sumpter in the Jeff Fowler directed movie.

Sonic the Hedgehog is scheduled for release in November 2019.
