In 1959, the Belgian-French comic strip hero, Asterix the Gaul made his debut. The character appeared in the comics magazine, Pilote, in stories written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo.

Due to the popularity of the comics, more stories soon followed, all containing fabulous tales of Asterix, as well as his best-friend Obelix, and various other colourful characters. And as the years progressed, these stories would continue to see print through a series of books.

But what are all the Asterix books and what is the reading order? If you are just getting into the Asterix collection, or you are introducing new readers to this popular series, it can be a little confusing to keep track.

Well, be confused no more! In this post I am providing a list of all the Asterix books in order. So, if you want to know how many Asterix books there are, or when and where to read a certain volume, this post should help you out!
