*Checks watch*

In around 15 hours time I will be heading to my local cinema to watch Avengers: Endgame. This will be the longest 15ish hour wait of my life.

To be fair, today has already been one of the longest days of my life. The sheer anticipation of seeing Endgame tomorrow has made today drag.

Is this the most excited I’ve ever been over a new release? Maybe. Although I was pretty damn excited for Infinity War (2017), The Force Awakens (2015) and believe it or not, Batman & Robin (1997), so it’s difficult to say.

Regardless of my excitement levels, I do believe this is going to be one of the BIGGEST movies of all time. The buzz surrounding this picture is unreal and with a 21-movie lead in, it’s not surprising that the world is watching.

So… what to do now while I wait.

*Twiddles thumbs*

As my screening isn’t until 10am tomorrow morning, one thing I won’t be doing is going on social media. I am now on a social media lockdown.

No Facebook.

No Instagram.

No chances are being taken.

I appreciate that not many people have seen the movie yet (outside of China), so spoilers will be few and far between, but I’m not taking any risks. A rogue post could ruin the experience.

I’m aware that reviews are online – I will be posting my thoughts tomorrow – but once again, I’m avoiding all reviews for now, just in case they contain spoilers. My post will be clearly marked up with SPOILER WARNINGS and I suggest those who want to read what I have to say, avoid the post until you’ve had time to watch the movie yourself.

Gaarrrrgghh! Why is time going so slowly?!?!

So… what to do tonight? Enjoy the warm UK weather? Converse with my fellow man/woman? Work on 101 theories on how Endgame is going to play out?

Nah… I think tonight I’m going to read some old comics, watch a few episodes of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (the best Avengers cartoon ever) and continue to get incredibly excited.

To all who are off to see Endgame over the next few days, I hope you have an awesome time. Take your partner, take the kids, take the neighbours and share in this milestone in movie making.
