Following the cancellation of Iron Fist and Luke Cage, Netflix has cancelled another Marvel show.
It’s Daredevil.
In a statement (via Deadline), Netflix said:
“Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix.
“We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note.
“We’re thankful to our partners at Marvel, showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years.”
With Daredevil now done and dusted, this leaves just Jessica Jones and The Punisher as the only Marvel shows still in production at Netflix. Both of these shows have a new season on the horizon, but beyond that their future now looks in doubt.
One Response to Netflix has cancelled another Marvel show
It’s inevitable… create a show, that show will (eventually) end.
*** I’m saddened by the news, but life will go on. I do hope that “things” get tied up right. Many a show has done the viewers wrong with the way they end. Don’t do us wrong. ***
