Earlier today I posted about a charity screening of The Goonies which was taking place at Vue Printworks Manchester to raise money for the We Love Manchester Emergency fund. The event – organised by Norfolk House blood donation centre and Manchester Classic Films – took place at 5pm and was… AWESOME!
Not only did the event give myself and 214 other people the opportunity to watch The Goonies on the big screen, it also raised a lot of money in the process.
Here are the details courtesy of one of the event organisers…
£1582.34 is pretty damn good!
If you didn’t attend the event, but still want to donate, the organisers have set up a Virgin Money Giving donation page.
A worthy cause indeed.
And here’s a couple of shots of myself and a friend at the event. #WeLoveManchester
