Earlier in the week, news broke that actor Andrew Lincoln is set to leave The Walking Dead during the show’s forthcoming ninth season. While there’s still no official confirmation that Lincoln’s departure is true, as the news is yet to be denied and fellow cast member Norman Reedus has added fuel to the story, it’s probably best to believe it.
But Lincoln isn’t the only actor leaving the show – The Walking Dead is set to lose another key cast member.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lauren Cohan is also set to depart the show. The actress, who plays the role of Maggie on the hit AMC series, will be phased out during the new season as Cohan moves on to work on to ABC’s new show, Whiskey Cavalier.
So, what does this all mean for The Walking Dead? Well, it looks like big changes are coming and this could be make or break time. Losing two big cast members could be the shot in the arm the series needs, or it could be the beginning of the end. Only time will tell.
