Earlier in the week, news began to circulate that Andrew Lincoln was to leave hit TV show, The Walking Dead. According to reports, the actor will leave the show midway through the next season, appearing in only half-a-dozen episodes of Season Nine.
To date, there’s been no official confirmation of Lincoln’s departure – not from the actor, nor from AMC Studios, the production company behind the show. That said, neither the actor or the production company have denied the reports either.
But could confirmation have finally come, via one of Lincoln’s co-stars? Could Norman Reedus have made things official?
Actor Norman Reedus, who plays fan-favourite character, Darryl Dixon on The Walking Dead, recently posted a picture on his Instagram account – bigbaldhead. The image was of himself and Andrew Lincoln embraced in a hug.
No words accompanied the image, however it was captioned with a heart emoji.
While the image doesn’t specifically mention Lincoln’s departure, the phrase ‘a picture paints a thousand words’ seems to sum up the situation perfectly. Seems to me, the image highlights what happens when two really good friends prepare to say goodbye.
If this isn’t confirmation, then I’m not sure what is.
Can someone pass the tissues, please?
