This holiday season, Hallmark is delivering a huge gift in the shape of a heap of new festive films. The movies – which are part of this year’s Countdown to Christmas 2026 – include the romantic drama, Holiday Unplugged.
Starring Nikki DeLoach, Brandon Ironside, Remy Marthaller, and Juan Pablo Di Pace, Holiday Unplugged focuses on an art teacher named Sally (DeLoach), who has spent ten years honouring the memory of her late husband Jake, while doing her best to raise their children, Keegan and Boo. However, after a decade she feels now might be the time to finally look for love.
After joining a dating app, Sally is paired with Damon (Di Pace). Sally is already familiar with Damon, as he is a former colleague who taught her children’s kindergarten class.
Revealing further details, Hallmark, said: “Jake had co-founded a web platform that preserved family home videos. When a server migration wipes out Sally’s treasured videos of him – and her phone containing backup copies accidentally shatters – the only hope is finding the original tapes.
“She doesn’t want Keegan and Boo to know about the missing videos so to buy time until they’re recovered, Sally institutes a screen-free Christmas for her family while secretly searching for the tapes. After she connects with Damon at his uncle’s antique store, he joins the hunt and the two grow closer.
“Keegan and Boo soon discover the joys of unplugging and spending quality time with their grandparents, who also come around and embrace the experiment after begrudgingly agreeing. With every lead exhausted, Sally is forced to admit the videos may be gone foverer.
“As the fate of the tapes is in flux, the family learns the importance of cherishing old memories and creating new ones.”
Should you wish to take a look at Holiday Unplugged, the new movie makes its debut on Hallmark Channel on Saturday November 7th. The film will air at 8/7c.
