Exploring Twin Peaks

Before heading into the list, let’s take a quick look at how the series and movie played out.
As noted above, Twin Peaks began in 1990. The first season ran eight episodes, introduced Agent Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan), and set up the mystery surrounding the murder of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee).
Season One was quickly followed by a second season which began in 1991 and continued the mystery. This season ran almost three times as long as the first and comprised 22 episodes.
From here the show was cancelled, however, this was far from the end. In 1992 a prequel movie was released under the title, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, which rewound the clock to focus on the days leading up to the murder of Laura Palmer.
At this point Twin Peaks appeared to be over for good, but this proved not to be true, because in 2017 a third season of the show hit television screens. Picking up the story 25 years later, Twin Peaks: The Limited Event Series (aka Season Three) ran 18 episodes.
Twin Peaks appeared to be over with the release of the movie, but this proved not to be true. In 2017, a third season of the show hit television screens, picking up the story 25 years later.
