Off Balance (cameo)
Ra’s Al Ghul’s initial appearance came via a brief cameo in Off Balance. His introduction took place during the final moments of the episode, although Ra’s is very much connected to the story.
In the episode, a mysterious organisation called the Society of Shadows makes its presence known in Gotham City. This in turn pulls Batman into an encounter with the nefarious Count Vertigo, as well as a strange woman who may be a friend, but may also be a foe.
The Demon’s Quest – Part One
In The Demon’s Quest – Part One, Ra’s Al Ghul makes his presence known when he turns up unannounced in the Batcave. Ra’s knows Batman’s secret identity and has important information regarding the recent disappearance of Robin.
According to Ra’s, Robin has been kidnapped, along with his daughter, Talia. Ra’s needs Batman’s help in tracking them both down.
The Demon’s Quest – Part Two
Continuing the story in The Demon’s Quest – Part Two, Batman learns more about the mysterious Ra’s Al Ghul. This includes the secret of his supposed immortality.

In Avatar, Batman and Talia Al Ghul join forces to find Ra’s, who has stolen an Egyptian scroll from the Gotham Museum. Their quest takes them to a hidden temple in Egypt.
Showdown
In Showdown, Batman: The Animated Series rewinds to the 1800s to follow the story of bounty hunter, Jonah Hex. The tale that unfolds is tied to Ra’s Al Ghul’s past, revealing a secret connection to the present.
