In 2016, actor Jason Momoa took on the role of Arthur Curry for a minor cameo in the comic book adventure film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The cameo only gave Momoa a small amount of screen time, but it acted as a brief introduction to the king of Atlantis, for audiences who were less-than familiar with the character.

The aim of the cameo was to make audiences aware of Momoa as Aquaman, before giving him a more substantial role in the 2017 team-up film, Justice League. In this picture, Aquaman appeared alongside Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, as a founding member of the League.

From here, Aquaman moved his way onto a solo movie, which expanded his mythology and filled in some of his backstory. This film – simply titled Aquaman – was a huge hit at the box office back in 2018, which ensured a sequel would follow.

But, if you are completely new to Aquaman or the DC Extended Universe and don’t know his entire journey, then you could benefit from a quick rundown of all his movies and TV shows. And that’s where this post proves useful, as it contains all the movie and TV titles you’ll need, in one simple list.

  • Justice League (2017) – Movie
  • Aquaman (2018) – Movie
  • Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021) – Movie
  • Peacemaker – Season One, Episode Eight: ‘It’s Cow or Never’ – TV*

*Please note: All movies and television episodes with an asterisk (*) feature Aquaman in a cameo role only, rather than a substantial part.

It is also important to note that 2017’s Justice League and 2021’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League are essentially the same movie, just different cuts of the film. The 2021 version is a considerably longer cut (almost twice as long), so features more scenes with Aquaman.
