In 1983, John Goodman made his film debut in the television movie, The Face of Rage. From here he followed up his acting work with further appearances in films such as Eddie Macon’s Run, The Survivors, and Heart of Steel.
To begin with, his on-screen roles were small parts, but soon his star status began to grow as audiences took the actor to their hearts. This in turn increased Goodman’s presence on the big screen, and propelled his career toward the icon he would eventually become.
Over the years he appeared in films ranging from The Flintstones and 10 Cloverfield Lane to The Babe and Coyote Ugly. Goodman also provided voice-over duties for animated films including We’re Back! A Dinosaur’s Story and Monsters, Inc.
