In 2001, musical comedy Josie and the Pussycats burst onto the big screen. The movie – based on the Archie Comics comic book of the same name, as well as a popular Hannah-Barbera cartoon – followed the story of an up-and-coming band, who get caught up in a mind-controlling scheme devised by an evil record label.
Mixing fun performances from Rachael Leigh Cook, Tara Reid, and Rosario Dawson, some catchy tunes, and some sharp, satirical comedy, Josie and the Pussycats was a real hoot and a half! The film had a neat storyline, which poked fun at the music industry, and was filled with some hilarious and easily quotable dialogue.
