Hold onto your magnifying glasses, sluthers, because a new signature mystery movie is heading to Hallmark, and it will be with you in next to no time at all. The film – which stars Aimee Garcia and Paul Campbell – goes by the name of The Cases of Mystery Lane, and follows the story of a husband and wife who get caught up in a murder investigation.
The official blurb for The Cases of Mystery Lane (via Hallmark) reads as follows: “Birdie Case (Garcia) is a bright, successful attorney. Her husband Alden (Campbell) is smart and charming, but his inability to settle on a career is causing strain in their marriage.
“When Alden goes behind his wife’s back to take classes, in hopes of becoming a private investigator, a homework assignment entangles him in a murder investigation.
“Birdie just may hold the keys to solving the mystery, but Alden will have to come clean to find out. Only, Alden suspects that Birdie might be hiding secrets of her own.”

Aimee Garcia takes on the role of Birdie Case for The Cases of Mystery Lane. Garcia is a SAG Award-nominee, known for roles in movies such as Christmas With You, as well as TV shows including Dexter and The George Lopez Show.
Playing the role of Birdie’s husband, Alden, is Paul Cambell. Campbell has appeared in a string of hit TV shows, including Battlestar Galactica and Turner & Hooch, and is no stranger to Hallmark movies, having appeared in A Godwink Christmas and Christmas by Starlight.

The Cases of Mystery Lane is produced by Two 4 The Money Media Inc, with Kim Arnott and Kate Gajdosik as executive producers. The movie is directed by Mike Rohl, working from a script written by Joel Dovev and Margaux Froley.
