In 1926, John Wayne made his film debut via an uncredited role in the movie, Brown of Harvard. From here he followed up his acting work with further uncredited appearances in films such as Bardelys the Magnificent, The Great K & A Train Robbery, and Annie Laurie.
To begin with, his on-screen roles were small parts, which is true of any actor in show business, but soon his star status began to grow as audiences took the actor to their hearts. This in turn increased his presence on the big screen, and propelled his career toward the icon he would eventually become.
But how familiar are you with John Wayne’s back catalogue of movies? If you were asked to name them all what would you say?
Well, don’t worry, because I can help. In this post you will find a list of all John Wayne’s movies, presented in chronological order, starting with minor roles and bit parts in his early pictures, and running through to more substantial roles in later life.
This list covers all the films in his career, from 1926 to 1976.
