Released in 1978, and starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, Grease is one of the best-loved musicals of all time. The film – which follows the story of high school students, Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson – is based on the 1971 stage musical of the same name, and is loaded with great songs, crackin’ performances, and a whole bunch of memorable characters.

But Grease is also crammed to the brim with some fantastic lines too. The script for Grease positively sings and includes some absolute killer lines, from the likes of Danny and Sandy, as well as pals Frenchy, Rizzo, and so many more.

Want to revisit some of those lines? Of course you do – and of course you can!

Below is a run-through of some of the best movie quotes from Grease. These are the lines that will whisk you back to 1978, to a time when Grease was well and truly the word!
