Hallmark’s annual Countdown to Christmas is now very much in full-swing, with the network’s holiday programming block showcasing an array of new festive feature films in the run-up to Christmas. Amongst these new films is You, Me & The Christmas Trees, Boyfriends of Christmas Past, and The Santa Stakeout – all of which have already delivered big numbers for the channel!    

According to Hallmark, when Boyfriends of Christmas Past made its debut on Friday October 22nd, the film was the number #1 most-watched entertainment programme on cable, with a total of 3.1 million unduplicated viewers tuning in. Likewise, the Saturday October 23rd premiere of Boyfriends of Christmas Past was also the number #1 most-watched cable programme, reaching a total of 3 million viewers.

The Sunday October 24th premiere of The Santa Stakeout just missed out on the top spot, settling for the number #2 position of the day, however, this was still a big success for the network. The Santa Stakeout brought in a further 3 million unduplicated viewers, ensuring Countdown to Christmas has officially got off to a great start!

Countdown to Christmas began in late October and runs throughout November and December across the Hallmark Channel. The programming block sees the debut of a huge collection of new holiday movies, and each year is seen as an annual treat for viewers.

New films on Countdown to Christmas this year include An Unexpected Christmas, Christmas in Tahoe, Open By Christmas and My Christmas Family Tree, in addition to Next Stop, Christmas, and two Sister Swap movies, amongst others.
