With Halloween on its way, many films fans are currently looking to add a few horror movie classics to their collection, in the run-up to the big day. Does this sound like you? Well, if it does, and you’re a fan of the Friday the 13th movie series, then Paramount Home Entertainment has got your back!

Shortly set to hit UK stores this month is the Friday the 13th 8-Movie Blu-ray Steelbook Collection. As the title suggests, the set includes eight Friday the 13th movies, all on HD Blu-ray, and all housed within a swish steelbook.

The Friday the 13th Blu-ray collection includes:

  • Friday the 13th (uncut) (1980)
  • Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)
  • Friday the 13th Part 3 (1982)
  • Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)
  • Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985)
  • Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)
  • Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)
  • Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)

Across the course of the collection, the set features various director commentaries, from the likes of Sean S. Cunningham, Joe Zito, and Tom McLoughlin, as well as bonus material including ‘making of’ documentaries, deleted scenes, and various behind the scenes featurettes. And of course, all of the discs are packaged in a steelbook, which features images of Jason Voorhees on the exterior, and shots of the movie posters on the interior.

Now I know what you’re thinking, there are more than eight Friday the 13th movies, right? Well, yes there are. This set is specifically for all of the Friday the 13th movies released by Paramount Pictures – which is essentially the first eight movies to be released chronologically from 1980 through to 1989. Other Friday the 13th movies were released after these first eight, but they all came via a different movie studio, which is why they are not included in this collection.
