Arriving on Hallmark in the coming weeks is One Summer – a brand new romantic drama about love and loss. One Summer stars Sam Page, Sarah Drew, Amanda Schull, Alexa Blair Robertson, Bill Winkler and Bryant Prince, and follows the story of Jack Armstrong – a widower trying to reconnect with his children following the sudden death of his wife.

The official blurb for Hallmark’s One Summer adaptation reads: “Jack was very sick and close to death, but his wife Lizzie is the one who unexpectedly passed away. After a surprising recovery, Jack returns to her beachside hometown with 15-year-old daughter Mikki and 10-year-old son Tyler to spend the summer in the childhood home Lizzie fondly called “The Palace,” hoping they all can heal.”

One Summer is based on the New York Times best-selling novel of the same name by David Baldacci. Baldacci is a global bestselling author, whose novels have been published in over forty-five languages, with One Summer being a popular title in his portfolio.

Hallmark’s One Summer movie is directed by R.C. Newey who has directed movies including Love in the Sun (2019) and A Song for Christmas (2019), as well as episodes of Good Witch. The film is written by Maria Nation and Michael Reisz and was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina in the US.

Anthony Fankhauser, Bruce D. Johnson, Stan Spry, Eric Scott Woods and Kristopher Wynne are on producing duties for One Summer, with music by Anne-Kathrin Dern. Cinematography is by Michael G. Wojciechowski.

One Summer makes its debut in the US on September 26th 2021. The movie will air on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
