In 2002, the PAX Network aired the first episode of Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye. The show – a crime drama from creators Dave Alan Johnson and Gary R. Johnson – starred Deanne Bray, Yannick Bisson, and Rick Peters.

Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye told the story of a deaf woman, whose lip-reading skills lead to a surveillance role within the FBI. The show was loosely inspired by a real person.

During its run, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye was very popular with viewers, and became a ratings winner for PAX. However, the show was cancelled rather abruptly, when the network decided to move away from producing original programming.
