Garage Sale Mystery proved popular with audiences and this led to the development and release of further films in the series. Over the next six years the Garage Sale Mystery movies developed quite the following, with Loughlin appearing in every movie, alongside a cast which included Steve Bacic, Sarah Strange, Eva Bourne, Connor Stanhope and Kevin O’Grady.
But how many Garage Sale Mystery movies are there and what is the viewing order for the series?
Read on for details – as there are probably more movies than you think.

The Garage Sale Mystery movies in order
As noted above, the first Garage Sale Mystery movie made its debut in 2013. The film aired on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and introduced audiences to Jennifer Shannon, the owner of the Rags To Riches antiques store.
The story continued in a second film, All That Glitters, which made its debut in 2014, before being followed in 2015 by two further movies: The Deadly Room and The Wedding Dress.
Two more entries – Guilty Until Proven Innocent and The Novel Murders – hit screens in 2016, by which point the series had reached a total of six movies. But it was far from over – in fact, it was about to reach a high point.
In 2017, Hallmark aired five new movies all in the same year. These films included: The Art of Murder, The Beach Murder, Murder by Text, Murder Most Medieval and A Case of Murder.
Moving into 2018, the Garage Sale Mystery movies maintained its popularity with the release of four additional movies: The Pandora’s Box Murders, The Mask Murder, Picture a Murder and Murder in D Minor. By this point, the series had reached 15 movies.
The conclusion came in 2019, with the release of Search & Seized. This was the final entry in the series.
In total, 16 Garage Sale Mystery movies aired between 2013 and 2019. All of the movies aired in chronological order, so if you wish to watch them from start to finish, follow this list:
- Garage Sale Mystery (2013)
- All That Glitters (2014)
- The Deadly Room (2015)
- The Wedding Dress (2015)
- Guilty Until Proven Innocent (2016)
- The Novel Murders (2016)
- The Art or Murder (2017)
- The Beach Murder (2017)
- Murder By Text (2017)
- Murder Most Medieval (2017)
- A Case of Murder (2017)
- The Pandora’s Box Murders (2018)
- The Mask Murder (2018)
- Picture a Murder (2018)
- Murder in D Minor (2018)
- Search & Seized (2019)
And now for a little something extra.
As highlighted above, the Garage Sale Mystery series concluded in 2019 with Search & Seized, but this was not supposed to be the final movie. In fact, a 17th movie, Three Little Murders was due for release in 2019!
So, what happened?
In 2019, lead actress Lori Loughlin was arrested in connection to the College Admissions Bribery Scandal – a conspiracy to influence undergraduate admissions at leading universities. As a result of the negative publicity, as well as the impending investigation, Hallmark cut ties with Loughlin and abruptly ended the film series.
When the series was cancelled, the majority of Three Little Murders had been filmed, but as production was not completed, the movie never aired. As such, there are 16 movies, but there could have been more.
And now you know.

They should have finished production, and then ended the series.
To each their own

Maybe one day it’ll turn up as a rough cut.

If Martha Stewart can make a comeback so can Lori Loughlin. After all, the movies are not about the actors but their acting!

Loughlin has done her time. It’s time to bring her back into the fold. Maybe feature her in an Aurora Teagarden Mystery cameo Candice Cameron Bure, and gauge viewer response.

I miss the Garage Sale Mysteries so VERY much. The entire cast was truly spectacular together. I couldn’t care less if Lori told the school a silly lie (My daughter rowed a boat.) to help get the girls into the school. I believe you’d be hard pressed to find someone turning in an application that was one million % truth for any school or job.. And I also believe that she did think the Money they donated to the school was just that, a donation. How was she to know the guy was gonna pocket it? I just truly loved the series, loved ALL the characters, and would love to see it start up again. I have ALL of the movies and for now will just watch them over & over again.

Would be cool if they continued the series but maybe with the kids all grown thier son was showing interest in the garage sales and the girl started working in the shop after the second movie…they could replace the friendship between Lori and the co owner
