Ah, so you’ve come looking for the outstanding music of John Carpenter have you?

Well, I can’t say I blame you.

Over the years, Carpenter has produced some fantastic, and truly memorable music, including the theme to Halloween (1978) – one of the most iconic horror movie themes Of all time – and the theme to They Live (1988).

The Halloween theme and the theme to They Live are certainly some of my favourites, but when it comes to Carpenter, I also have a great deal of time for the theme to Christine (1983).

And in 2018, 35 years after Christine was first released, John Carpenter and Sacred Bones Records, put out a music video to the track. Did you watch it?

Well, no sweat if you didn’t, as I have the video below.

Pretty damn good, right?

Based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name, Christine is a supernatural horror movie about a car which seemingly has a life of its own. Carpenter directed the film, and along with Alan Howarth also provided the music.

So, what is your favourite John Carpenter track? Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), The Fog (1980)? Sound off in the comments section below.
