Brace yourselves – Netflix is bringing Masters of the Universe back!
Masters of the Universe: Revelation will be a new anime series from writer, director and all-round geek, Kevin Smith. Smith will serve as the showrunner and executive producer on the series which will feature He-Man and Skeletor.
The show will air on Netflix and pick up where the original 1983 series left off. Powerhouse – the company behind Netflix’s Castlevania anime series – will provide the animation, while Mattel Television will produce.
A poster has been released to tease the forthcoming series. As you can see below, the image includes a new Masters logo, along with an image of Castle Grayskull, as well as He-Man’s power sword.

The poster looks freakin’ awesome, right?
The whole look and feel of this poster harks back to the ’80s era of Masters of the Universe (as intended), and feels very reminiscent of the toy artwork.
It looks gorgeous – well done.

He-Man has the power
Masters of the Universe: Revelation will be the fourth animated He-Man series following 1983’s Masters of the Universe, 1990’s The New Adventures of He-Man, and 2002’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
Could it be the best yet? It’s arrival is certainly the most surprising!
News of the new show’s arrival came as a complete surprise to fans when it was announced at this weekend’s Power-Con – a huge convention that focuses on all things He-Man. Who expected this?
Unfortunately no date was given on when Masters of the Universe: Revelation will air. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
And let’s not forget that Masters of the Universe: Revelation will be the second He-Man-related show on Netflix, following the already well-received She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. For those who are playing catch-up, the third season of She-Ra has recently started streaming on Netflix and it is just as good as seasons one and two.

Although I’m not the biggest anime fan, I will give this a try. I’m a child that grew up on He-Man so it is always exciting to hear this character coming back.

I’m looking forward to it. From what I’ve seen of Castlevania (so far) the animation is great, so I expect He-Man to be of the same quality.
