Great news – this week I learned that Shout Select is to release the Abbott and Costello: The Complete Universal Pictures Collection on Blu-ray!

The set – which has previously been available on DVD – includes all 28 movies in high definition, and runs from 1940’s One Night in the Tropics through to 1955’s Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy.

The boxset is being released ahead of the 80th anniversary of Abbott and Costello’s association with Universal Pictures – arguably the high point of their popularity. The collection is Region A and includes 15 discs.
