Earlier this week, Spider-Man: Far From Home made its debut. Have you watched it yet?

Well, if you haven’t had the chance to see it, then you should find the time – it’s a damn good Spidey movie!

When discussing the film on Tuesday evening, I said:

“If you’re one of the many (many) people who went to the cinema this year to watch Endgame, then you should watch Far From Home. Not only is this film a coda to Phase 3, it’s also a summer blowout after the emotional roller coaster of the Avengers swansong.”

And as well as being a good film, Far From Home is proving rather successful at the box office.

Since making its debut on Tuesday the film has raked in a whopping $580,055,628 worldwide! That’s a solid chunk of change (and just imagine how much popcorn has been sold).

Could this be the most successful Spidey movie yet? Well, it certainly has the potential to be.

Far From Home has quite a way to go before it is the biggest financial success of the Spider-Man movie franchise – the highest grossing Spidey movie is still Spider-Man 3 – but it is off to a great start! Let’s see how it fairs over the coming weeks.

In my mind, this film is going to continue to do well, especially coming off the back of the biggest financial success story of 2019 – Avengers: Endgame. Oh and speaking of which, Avengers: Endgame has now climbed its way up to $2,772,462,833!

Endgame is now just $15.5 million away from matching Avatar’s box office total, paving the way for it to become the highest grossing movie of all time!

But…

…it might not reach its goal.

The film – which recently received a re-release – is coming to the end of its cinematic run and that means it will most likely fall short of the money it needs. However, until its final performance, anything can happen.

What a time to be alive!
