You may or may not be aware that New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. Pictures has a new Shaft movie. The film – a follow-up to the 2000 picture of the same name – stars Samuel L. Jackson, Richard Roundtree, Alexandra Shipp and Regina Hall.
Shaft opened in US cinemas two weeks ago, but not anywhere else. It isn’t playing in international cinemas and it’s not on the release schedule – so, what gives?
Well, if you live outside the US, you can now watch the movie on Netflix! Yep, Shaft has skipped international cinema screens and has instead gone straight to streaming.
Shaft‘s arrival on Netflix is particularly handy if a.) you’re too busy to go to the pictures and b.) didn’t even know there was a new Shaft movie!
It’s fair to say that if you don’t live in the US you’re probably not even aware of this sequel as the promotion has been pretty much non-existent. Either way, if you’re at a loose-end or you enjoy the Shaft film series, then head on over to Netflix.
