Remember the X-Men spin-off movie, The New Mutants? Remember how it was filmed in 2017, a trailer was released in 2018, then the movie’s release date was pushed back TWICE to late 2019, to allow time for reshoots to take place?

Yeah…

…those reshoots STILL haven’t taken place.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, actress Maisie Williams said: “There were supposed to be reshoots to “make it scarier,” but they haven’t actually taken place.”

*Sigh*

Those reshoots were supposed to have happened by now.

You know, I don’t think we’re going to see The New Mutants for a while – certainly not by August (it’s current release date). And if we do see The New Mutants before the end of the summer, by the sounds of things it’ll be in it’s original form and not with new/additional footage to make it more like a horror film.

*Sigh*

If you’re a New Mutants fan you’re probably feeling rather frustrated right about now. Chances are, you’re not as frustrated as Williams, who so delicately said: “Who knows when the fuck that’s gonna come out.”

Indeed.

In the new movie, Williams plays Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane, alongside Charlie Heaton (Cannonball), Anya Taylor-Joy (Magik), Henry Zaga (Sunspot), Blu Hunt (Mirage) and Alice Braga (Cecilia Reyes).

Here’s the trailer that dropped last year…

The New Mutants is currently due for release August 2nd.
