She-Ra and the Princesses of Power has been nominated for a GLAAD Media Award.

The DreamWorks TV series – which streams on Netflix – has been shortlisted for an accolade within the category of Outstanding Kids & Family Programming.

Taking to social media to announce the news, DreamWorks TV said: “Thanks @glaad #SheRa has been nominated by #GLAADawards as an Outstanding Kids & Family Program!”

She-Ra is up against stiff competition from the likes of Steven Universe, Anne with an E, Andi Mack and Adventure Time. Will she win? Well, we’re around two months away from finding out. The 30th GLAAD Awards take place on Thursday March 28th at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.


What are the GLAAD Awards?

The GLAAD Awards recognise and honour various facets of the media for their representations of the LGBTQ community. The first GLAAD Awards took place in 1990.
