Rick and Morty Season 4 will hit UK TV screens later this year – but not on Netflix.

Channel 4 has poached the series from Netflix and plans to air it on E4. Seasons one to three will also move to E4, with episodes airing from February onward.

In a statement (via Bleeding Cool), Ian Katz, Channel 4’s Director of Programmes, said: “Rick and Morty is one of the most anarchic, ingenious and original shows around and the breakthrough animated hit of recent years. I’m thrilled that it’s coming to Channel 4 and E4.”

Rick and Morty‘s defection to Channel 4 is part of a huge deal for the UK TV channel, which will see a wealth of animated programming arrive under the ‘Adult Swim’ banner. More than 300 episodes of content are expected to appear on Channel 4’s All 4 catch-up service, including the likes of Robot Chicken, The Venture Bros., Aqua Teen Hunger Force and more.
