Remember yesterday morning, when I published the story about Blackpool Police and a man wanted in connection with a theft at a local restaurant?
Remember how in the story, many, many, MANY people thought the image that Blackpool Police posted depicted Ross from TV series, Friends walking away with some beers?
Well, to refresh your memory, the original post said: “Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him in relation to a theft at a Blackpool restaurant on the 20th September.”
The post was accompanied by a photo of a man who looked like David Schwimmer (aka Ross).
Due to the sheer amount of comments and interest in Blackpool Police’s original post, the story went viral, eventually making its way back to Friends actor, David Schwimmer.
Proving that he has a good sense of humour Schwimmer addressed the story to prove once and for all that neither he, nor Ross, had anything to do with the theft.
Taking to Twitter, he said: “Officers, I swear it wasn’t me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation. #itwasntme”
So if it wasn’t Ross, then maybe it was Russ, that guy Rachel dated very briefly!
