Disney has decided to stick to its decision to remove director James Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

According to Variety, Studio chairman, Alan Horn is said to have met with Gunn to clear the air, via a meeting that was described as “civil and professional”. However, the outcome of that meeting remains the same as before it took place – Gunn will not be reinstated on the project.

Over the past month there has been a lot of chatter regarding this situation, with arguments on both side of the conversation – some wanted Gunn reinstated, others did not. Regardless of what outside talk takes place now, Disney has made a decision.

So, what does this mean for Gunn?

Well, there has been a lot of rumours circulating that other studios would like to work with the director, so it’s entirely possible he could be in talks right now for his next project.

Green Lantern Corps. anyone?
