We’ve known for a while now that Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment are readying a movie based around Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. The film – currently running under the title of Birds of Prey – will see Robbie reprise the role of Harley (previously seen in 2016’s Suicide Squad), alongside a number of DC characters including Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya, and Cassandra Cain.
Up until now, it was unclear who the chief villain of the Birds of Prey movie would be. However, according to The Wrap, all has been revealed.
The villain of Birds of Prey is set to be…
Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask is a crime boss sporting… well… a black mask. Ruthless and quite frankly not a very nice person, Black Mask should prove to be a formidable villain in the proposed movie and a villain that has yet to appear on the big screen.
Created by Doug Moench and Tom Mandrake, Black Mask has been popping up in Batman comics since the mid-’80s. In addition to his comic book appearances, the character has featured in animation (The Batman, Under the Red Hood etc) as well as in the game, Batman: Arkham Origins.
