Black Panther has been one of the true success stories of 2018. Not only has the film received critical and commercial success, but it’s now picking up industry recognition too.

At last night’s BET Awards 2018, Black Panther picked up two awards. The first was the Best Actor Award for lead star, Chadwick Boseman, while the second was for Best Movie.

Well deserved wins indeed.

And, in addition to the movie’s success at the BET Awards 2018, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C. has announced it will showcase items from the movie’s production, highlighting Black Panther‘s cultural significance.

According to, items on display will include the Black Panther costume, as well as a shooting script, two pages of the spec script, and 24 high-resolution production photographs.

In a statement, the museum said: “The film, like the museum, provides a fuller story of black culture and identity.”
