This evening ’80s ‘toon lovers – myself included – were hit with a double whammy of news in the shape of first-looks for two cartoon revivals – She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and ThunderCats Roar.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will arrive on Netflix before the end of the year, while ThunderCats Roar will hit Cartoon Network in 2019.

Great news, right? You bet!

OK, so the ThunderCats show might not be the ’80s revivals we expected – the series is going to be very different from what has come before – but at least the cartoon characters of our youth will live on for another generation. And that’s what’s the most important thing here.

But should these be the only cartoon revivals, or should there be more?

Well, if I had my way we’d be looking at a conveyor belt of ’80s ‘toon resurrections right now, starting with the likes of BraveStarr, The Real Ghostbusters and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Of course, chief on my list would be Dungeons & Dragons, but let’s not forget Visionaries too.

But that’s what I’d revive. Now what would you bring back?

If you could breathe life back into any ’80s cartoon, what would it be? The Raccoons? SuperTed? COPS?

What show would you bring back and why?
